FISH CONSERVATION STRATEGIES

It became apparent to me back in the late 80's that we had to preserve our large stock in order to have them there for the future.  We started conservation initiatives back in 1987 on northerns and have since moved on in the past 15 years or so to include walleyes as well.  Oddly enough, the Canadian government now agrees with my thinking and have reduced limits and imposed size restrictions on all of our fish.  We are still ahead of the legislation in our "conservation licenses only and no trophies killed" Policy.  We know from experience that putting all the big fish back means they are there to not only bite again but reproduce those eating size fish that you are harvesting.  It is our goal to provide you the best fishing we can in the best environment we can so that we will see you year after year.
